In
January 1982 the Monmouth Church of Christ began the oversight of our mission
work in Kenya. Our relationship of 23 years with you has been a blessing to
our family and we hope it will continue as we work together in this ministry.
I’m reminded of Paul’s words to the Philippian church in Chapter 1, verses 5
and following where Paul Thanked the Phillipian church, and told them that
because of their participation with him in the Gospel in sending funds, and in
prayer and in ministry together that they are yoked together. You the church
play an important role in spreading the gospel in the world. There are some
who are called to go and some who are called to send. It’s like a body. The
arm can’t do anything apart from the head, the ear can’t function by itself nor
the eye, nor the foot. But together as a body we accomplish the purposes of
hearing and seeing and going and doing and that’s the way we are as the Body of
christ. You send and we go but together as a body of believers we can function
together in carrying out the gospel to the world. It is you indirectly
participating in the lives of the people, individuals, families and churches of
Africa, and in their salvation. We can’t do it alone, but together, you and
us by Gods blessing and power that work is accomplished. So my great
thanksgiving to you for your participation of the gospel of Christ in Africa.
